Ricardoes Tomatoes
& Strawberries Farm
Free entry to Ricardoes farm opens the gate to a day of family fun and discovery to thrill and satisfy all ages, seven days a week, 364 days a year. The beautiful open Port Macquarie countryside is a breath of fresh air, yet is just 10 minutes’ drive north from town, on sealed roads – and moments from the M1, ideal for R&R if you’re travelling the freeway from north or south.
Port’s most-awarded tourist attraction is keenly sought after for its popular, Insta-worthy, pick-your-own strawberries experience, choosing the sweetest fragrant scarlet fruit from easily accessible vertical frames: seniors stroll the avenues and reach out at arm’s length while, lower down the lattice, tiny tots can do so too. (Marriage proposals have happened here!) Berry picking is all under soaring greenhouse cover so wind and rain never matter. And there’s plenty of grassy space for kids and long-distance travellers to stretch their legs.
We welcome visitors to enjoy our guided free farm tours of the berries and our Jack & the Beanstalk soaring tomato vines every weekday at 11am: no need to book, just roll up!
Air-conditioned CAFE RED is cool in summer, warm in winter, with both table service and takeaways: budget-priced farm-fresh brekkie, lunch, snacks, barista coffee and Ricardoes “world’s best” scones with real natural cream, lavished with our own delicious home-grown strawberry jam. The shop features our top-awarded fresh-picked tomatoes (our prices remain standard year-round) and our big range of gold medal-winning sweet and savoury preserves, take-home vegies and locally-grown produce, souvenirs and novelties – also perfect for stocking up your RV or for a camping trip.
Our beautifully-presented preserves are always treasured as gifts and in hampers, as well as ever-popular on the home table. Mail order is available for preserves, visit: ricardoes.com
Facilities include: free BYO in the Café; high chairs; a wide ramp entry for wheelchairs; clean rest rooms, and a big sealed car park.
Also find our Ricardoes stall, abundantly stocked with fresh farm produce and preserves, at market days around the region.
Ricardoes tomatoes won First Prize for Best Tomatoes in NSW in the Sydney Royal Easter Show District Exhibits Competition 2025 – the ninth time, as unrivalled producers, they’ve taken out the award.
