Profile
I’m an Aboriginal artist teaching traditional and contemporary arts, design, weaving and sharing of culture. An artist/singer/musician/songwriter who is also a choir mistress teaching Aboriginal language songs. In our local Port Macquarie small business on the gorgeous Hastings foreshores, we create safe spaces to relax in and let creative juices flow to the max.
Our workshops have become a fun nurturing space for adults to take some time out for themselves to muck up and have a laugh, let go a little and get a little art therapy.
Do something just for yourself! Whether you come over and throw some paint around in an hilarious Acrylic Pour or want to learn how to sketch, draw and paint with sharper perspective and insight at our Watercolours, Charcoals, Inks and Soft Pastels workshops where everyone leaves with a beautifully framed A3 artwork.
Maybe you’ve thought about learning how to do the ancient art of intriguing Silk Painting or have been curious to learn Indigenous and contemporary weaving techniques to make useful or sculptural pieces from discarded organic materials that are readily available and easy to weave. We can help you achieve efficiency in all of these techniques.
You’ll find us at the Sea Scouts Hall, 9 Buller Street, if you feel you need some arty time out, a laugh or just want to be with friendly, like minded people. Come on over and play with us! A scrumptious afternoon tea is always served in Weaving and Silk Painting workshops but not in art workshops as we don’t have time!
They’re 3 hours of full on bursting creativity! By all means bring your own snacks and drinks. The main ingredient in our workshops is fun!
We’re not interested in perfection just in having fun whilst creating some art! We’d love to meet you! You deserve some immense fun!
